The online community will encourage participation through videos, suggested readings tied to the topic and through conversing with other attendees before and after the live session.

Case in Point: Navigating Copyright in the Digital Age

The Legal Edition

Copyright issues – particularly the use of third-party content online – is becoming one of the thorniest issues for those working in communications and public relations.  This interactive Case in Point shall demystify copyright law in the digital space and provide best practices for the use of third-party content.  This Case in Point will cover the relevant law (including discussing real world examples where the law has been applied) to issues like embedding, licenses and fair use.  In addition, participants will be provided a practical hypothetical where they can apply their newfound understanding of the law and best practices to a scenario concerning online public relations.
