“It’s all about finding purpose and meaning in life and work,” said Miguel McKelvey, co-founder and chief creative officer of WeWork, on what today’s employees want in a workplace. “That’s a trend and shift we’re tuned into.”

McKelvey spoke at the Collision tech conference in New Orleans on May 4, discussing “the new enterprise” of co-working, company culture and shared workspaces with Steven Bertoni, senior editor at Forbes.

WeWork is a quickly growing global company, opening 10-15 new locations a month with 143 locations in 35 cities. Its mission is “to create a world where people work to make a life, not just a living.” Members range from entrepreneurs, freelancers and startups to artists, small businesses and divisions of large corporations.
