10 Sample Job Duties That IMC Professionals May Have on Their Résumés

The fast-paced world of social and digital media has made it necessary for PR agencies to help their clients on a 24/7 basis. To satisfy these needs, agencies such as Golin and Edelman have changed their internal infrastructure to allow for an IMC approach.

If you want to remain both relevant and marketable in your career, then you should work toward growing your skills, platforms, tools and experiences and make sure that they are reflected on your résumé.

What follows are excerpts from a sample résumé of someone specializing in integrated marketing communications to help you get started on crafting your own IMC-centric résumé:

1. Served as media liaison and crisis communications spokesperson for C-Suite, resulting in placements with NBC, The Associated Press, The New York Times and BBC

2. Ensured consistent messaging across multiple marketing disciplines, while closely monitoring brand reputation

3. Initiated 15 new digital-media campaigns, resulting in more than 150,000 views collectively

4. Developed integrated social-media plan with Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn campaigns, increasing conversion rates by X percent and monthly customer engagement by X percent

5. Built multimedia centers to better assist clients, using an IMC platform

6. Gathered relevant client information needed to develop, recommend and execute strategies, tactics and budget that will result in effective PR programs

7. Implemented real-time marketing into approach with clients, resulting in an X percent increase in new business and client satisfaction rates

8. Supervised, trained and developed team account coordinator and account executive

9. Wrote marketing pieces and brochures, and developed logos and artwork by interfacing with creative department

10. Consulted with customers to determine objectives and requirements for conferences and events
