Nance Larsen, APR, Fellow PRSA

Photo of Nance Larsen, APR, Fellow PRSA Larsen, APR, Fellow PRSA, BEPS Chair, is a public relations professional with more than 20 years of strategic communication experience. She achieved her APR in 2002 and was nominated to the PRSA College of Fellows in 2008. She is currently serving in her second year as Chair of the PRSA Board of Ethics (BEPS), previously serving as BEPS Secretary from 2009 - 2015. In 2008, Larsen was named Communicator of the Year by her peers from the PRSA-Alaska Chapter, as well receiving the Bruce Pozzi Chapter Service award in 2014.

Her resume includes an extensive background in marketing, branding, crisis/issues management and public relations on an international basis for major consumer brands such as ASICS TIGER Corporation,Yamaha Motor Vehicles, National Motorcycle Association, National Sporting Goods Association, the Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Pebble Partnership, NEA-Alaska and Carlile. Within the state of Alaska, Larsen has been instrumental in broadening the awareness of Alaska’s three major industries: Tourism, Natural Resources and Transportation. Additionally, Larsen has worked in a marketing communication capacity developing media relations programs for events such as the New York City Marathon, NBA-sanctioned Summer League, Special Olympics World Winter Games, National Veterans Wheelchair Games and the U.S. Alpine Ski Championships. Since 2001, Larsen has served as an appointed member of Special Olympics Worldwide’s global volunteer crisis action team. In this capacity, Larsen was awarded the National Volunteer Service Award by President George W. Bush. Larsen has also been recognized nationally for her award-winning legacy communication programs related to Special
Olympics World Games and the rebranding of the City of Anchorage.
