Nancy Hughes, APR, vice president, communications and marketing, National Health Council (NHC)

Hughes oversees the communications programs that are directed toward patient advocacy organizations and people living with chronic diseases and disabilities. Prior to her work at the NHC, she served as the vice president of communications and information services at the American Academy of Physician Assistants in Alexandria, Virginia. Hughes is the former chair of the American Society of Association Executives Communication Section Council, the PRSA Health Academy Executive Committee and the PRSA Section Council.

Donna Jaffee, principal, workforce communication and change business, Mercer

Jaffee develops and implements strategic solutions for a wide range of human resources communication challenges. This includes designing campaigns to effect behavior change; introducing benefit changes; communicating total rewards; communicating benefits integration precipitated by mergers and acquisitions; and leading open enrollment campaigns. She is the recipient of numerous communication awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Employee Benefit Communicators (EBC), and has been recognized with a Dalton Pen Communications Award.

Cynara Charles-Pierre, director of crewmember communications, JetBlue Airways

Charles-Pierre is a communications professional with 15 years of experience across multiple industries: specialty foods, media and entertainment, and aviation. Her niche is employee communications, and throughout her career, she has been charged with either developing or revamping internal communications departments within high-profile organizations such as News Corporation and at HBO.
