Navigating Change: Thinking Strategically to Build Value through Mergers, Acquisitions, and Rapid Growth

In the technology world, change happens at a rapid clip—whether it’s new or sudden M&A activity that upsets the status quo, or the explosive growth that tends to hit when a new innovation catches on. Both good news and bad news can cause marketing and PR professionals in technology companies to spring into action, hopefully making the right moves that mine as much business value as possible from the situation at hand.

Join us for a discussion of how our panelists have learned to build value through change, and how that can help you turn risk into reward during periods of uncertainty. We’ll learn how Zebra Technologies regrouped and shifted their thinking to successfully work through the acquisition of Motorola’s enterprise business, and how PCTEL developed a working list of considerations as they pursued their M&A strategy. Bring your questions, comments, and conversation to this brown bag teleseminar, facilitated by Shawn Gaines, director of marketing communications at rapid-growing software company kCura and member of the PRSA technology section planning committee.

You will learn:

  • Ways PR professionals today have navigated complex M&A situations in short timeframes
  • What to include in your own marketing punch list of key considerations in a potential M&A situation
  •  Thinking through how changes to organizational design may help serve your organization when massive change occurs
  •  Best practices for positioning rapid growth or compression to make sure it provides organizational value
