Nebraska Chapter

About Our Chapter

PRSA Nebraska is comprised of new and seasoned public relations, communications and marketing professionals from non-profit, agency, corporate and government entities across the state. PRSA Nebraska provides the following opportunities to over 200 members.

Professional Growth

PRSA Nebraska presents timely and informative topics at monthly membership luncheons, special seminars and workshops. The Chapter Web site hosts information about membership, news, resources, events and job openings. PRSA Nebraska also hosts an annual Professional Development Conference and assists members in study preparation for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) designation.

Chapter membership with PRSA Nebraska gives members the opportunity to interact with colleagues and meet other PR professionals through committee involvement, board membership, online social networking groups and social events. The Chapter Web site also includes a member directory searchable by name and sortable by expertise, discipline or company name. PRSA Nebraska has a social media presence on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn where professionals can connect and collaborate.

Community Outreach

Each year a committee of PRSA Nebraska volunteers selects nonprofit organizations to assist based on the organization’s needs and may include public relations writing, training, design or event management. In addition, through partnerships with local Public Relations Student Society of American (PRSSA) chapters, PRSA Nebraska is helping future PR leaders develop the skills they need as they move forward with their careers.

Awards & Recognition

Each year PRSA Nebraska honors local public relations professionals for their work at the annual Paper Anvil Awards and Gala. Entries are received and awards are given to individuals, companies and organizations for their work in public relations, communications and campaigns.
