Confusion is often the unintended consequence of ineffective communication, and common when the topic of communication is complex, or when multiple audiences are involved. In this session, communicators will learn how to deepen their commitment to clarity in writing. Participants will develop and expand tools and methods to communicate more clearly and effectively in writing with lay stakeholders, who may not possess the same acronyms or assumptions. This session will be a combination of formal instruction, individual and team exercises, and coaching.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • learn the true purpose and role of clarity, to reframe your role as a communicator
  • understand common challenges and pitfalls of writing with clarity
  • gain an applied knowledge and rigor to elevate technical and complex writing
Who should attend this workshop?
Anyone looking to improve his or her communication in writing will benefit from this course, but it will have particular use for anyone tasked with communicating complex or technical concepts.
