What are the latest research and trends in public relations? Learn about what’s “hot” in public relations learning and in the field from both academics and professionals, through panel discussions, research paper presentations and a pedagogical poster session.

Breakfast and reception are included with full registration.

Program Overview

8 a.m.–1:30 p.m.: Educators Academy Super Saturday Panels

Location: Boston University, BU College of Communication Building, Rooms 209 and 215

Join us for the Super Saturday Panels, featuring panel discussions and research presentations from both academics and professionals, discussing the latest research and trends in public relations. Topics may include pedagogy, research and the public relations industry. Past panels have focused on ethics in the curriculum, best practices relating to social media integration, internships, use of mobile applications in the classroom and online portfolios. Peer-reviewed research papers will be presented and discussed in this session.

1:30–3:30 p.m.: Break

Location: Travel to Boston Marriott Copley Place (by cab or metro)

3:30–5 p.m.: Educators Academy Pedagogical Poster Session

Location: Boston Marriott Copley Place

Best practices in teaching public relations will be presented in teacher-to-teacher and teacher-to-practitioner formats in a pedagogical poster session. What’s “hot” in public relations learning and ways to share ideas for the classroom will be discussed.

5 p.m.–6:30 p.m.: Educators Academy Awards Ceremony & Reception

Location: Boston Marriott Copley Place

Network and connect at the Educators Academy Awards Ceremony & Reception. Hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, and a cash bar will be available. As part of the reception, the Ferguson Award for support to public relations education will be presented. The winners of the Betsy Ann Plank Graduate Student research paper and top Faculty research paper will be recognized.
