As professional communicators, we’re constantly looking for ways to capture five more seconds of mindshare with our target audiences. But consumers are constantly inundated with information from every direction. How, then, do we improve our reach, influence behavior and track our impact?
Chris Foster is a principal of strategy and organization at Booz Allen Hamilton. Previously, Chris was as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at Columbia University, Western Kentucky University and Howard University teaching on topics ranging from strategic communications to health policy. Chris is active in the regional chapter of the American Heart Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Family Network Center.
Patrick Pho, online analyst, corporate, New Media Strategies (NMS), has been blogging before it was called blogging. His background in social media and video production serves him well when working with NMS clients. Previously, he worked with companies that include General Motors, Newmont and 3M. He also worked on Chevrolet’s 2007 Super Bowl ad campaign, which resulted in one of the first Super Bowl ads inspired by consumer-generated content.
Pho is a contributor to sport websites 4 Sport Boston and GoGameFace. His stories, rants and opinions have been featured in The Washington City Paper and The Washington Express. He earned a blogger of the year nomination from Brazen Careerist in 2009.
Rex Repass, president and CEO, R.L. Repass & Partners, has been an entrepreneur and business owner since 1984. He has 25 years of survey research and marketing communications experience, and provides clients with counsel on survey research design and marketing communications strategy development that is actionable and cost effective. His client base includes work for diverse business categories, including health care, automotive, chemicals, consumer packaged goods, trade associations, state lotteries, government agencies, media, leisure marketing and law firms. He is a member of the American Marketing Association, the American Association for Public Opinion Research and the American Society of Trial Consultants. He is the recipient of Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism distinguished alumnus award.
Gary Puckrein, Ph.D., is founder, president and chief executive office of the National Minority Quality Forum. Gary also serves as the executive director of the Alliance of Minority Medical Associations. He has received many awards and honors, and was named a visiting scholar and fellow at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, as well as a visiting fellow at Princeton University
