Biz Stone, co-founder, Twitter
Starting out as a progenitor of the early social Web in 1999, Stone joined Google in 2003, and in 2006, launched the online social network and microblogging service, Twitter, effectively providing a voice for a generation. In 2011, he co-founded The Obvious Corporation, which focuses on building systems that help people work together to improve the world. He is a founding director of ConvergeUS, a Washington, D.C.,-based nonprofit organization that is designed to leverage the collective power of several institutions to accelerate positive social change. He also advises several companies and organizations, from startups and nonprofits to publicly traded international companies, on the development of their philanthropic roadmaps.
