Opening Keynote Speaker: Internationally Recognized Marketing Expert Jonathan Mildenhall


As PRSA’s opening keynote speaker on Sunday, Oct. 7, internationally recognized marketing expert Jonathan Mildenhall, the former CMO of Airbnb, will inspire us to reflect on what our purpose is while encouraging businesses to envision a better world through creativity, humanity and authentic branding.

A champion of accelerating diversity in advertising, Jonathan will share his insights on the role of disruption, creativity, inclusivity and purposeful branding in sparking positive change and uniting humanity around a movement. 

Named Creative Marketer of the Year by the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2013, Jonathan was also recognized as one of the world’s most influential CMOs by Forbes.


Keynote Speaker: Former Labor Secretary, Distinguished Economic Adviser Robert B. Reich to Discuss “The Common Good”


Robert B. Reich will share his warm, insightful analysis of contemporary issues during his keynote speech on Monday, Oct. 8.

A renowned thought leader, Robert currently serves as the Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and Senior Fellow at the Blum Center for Developing Economies.  

His most recent book is “The Common Good,” described as a passionate, clear-eyed discussion on why we must restore the idea of the common good to the center of our economics and politics. This book is a fundamental statement about the purpose of society. Rooting his argument in everyday reality and common sense, Reich writes about patriotism, truth and leadership, among many other topics.

Time magazine called Robert one of the 10 most successful cabinet secretaries of the past century for his service as labor secretary from 1993 to 1997.

He has also served as a professor at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a professor of social and economic policy at the Heller School for Public Policy and Management at Brandeis University.


Keynote Speaker: Digital Marketing Pioneer, Best-Selling Author Ann Handley to Spotlight ‘The Big, Bold, Brave New World of Content & Storytelling’ 


Ann Handley is consistently named one of the most influential marketers on social media. A prominent influencer on LinkedIn, she also has more than 420,000 followers on Twitter. You’ll see why on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 9 as Ann explains why she describes herself as the world’s first Chief Content Officer.

Ann’s best-selling books include “Everybody Writes: Your Go-To Guide to Creating Ridiculously Good Content” and “Content Rules: How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts, Videos, Ebooks, Webinars (and More) That Engage Customers and Ignite Your Business” (co-authored with C.C. Chapman). They have been translated into 19 languages, including Turkish, Korean, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.

IBM named Ann one of the seven people shaping modern marketing and she's also been cited in Forbes as a top thought leader.

Ann founded MarketingProfs, a marketing training and education company with more than 600,000 subscribers. Through online and in-person education programs, MarketingProfs trains marketers worldwide. The MarketingProfs B2B Marketing Forum is the premier global marketing event for business-to-business marketers. Her previous company, ClickZ, was one of the first sources of digital marketing information in the world. She sold it in 2000, a lifetime ago in internet years.


Keynote Speaker: Millennial Marketing Expert Aria Finger Inspires Young People to ‘Do Something’ 


As CEO of DoSomething.org, the largest tech company exclusively for young people and social change, Aria Finger uses her expertise on all things tech and youth to lead a diverse, impact-driven team. On Tuesday, Oct. 9, Aria will share how she helped scale DoSomething.org from less than 100,000 members to over 6 million members in 131 countries today. She also created its Teens for Jeans campaign, which to date has clothed over 5 million homeless teenagers. 

With her cause-related marketing experience, Aria has spearheaded partnerships with top brands including Johnson & Johnson, Coke, H&M and CVS Health.

In 2013, Aria founded and became president of TMI, a strategic consultancy that uses DoSomething.org’s 20+ years of experience and proprietary data to help clients reach young people and fuel positive impact in the world.

Aria currently serves on the board of the NYC-based not-for-profit Care for the Homeless, was one of the first 10 World Economic Forum Global Shapers and is an adjunct professor at New York University. In 2016, she was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.


Networking Luncheon Speaker Announced:
Dell Senior Vice President, Global Communications, Stella Low on ‘Impactful Storytelling in a Converging World’ 


As Dell’s senior vice president of global communications, Stella Low is responsible for leading a world-class global team dedicated to enhancing and protecting the reputation of Dell Technologies as a leader in digital transformation while creating awareness of Dell’s brands, values, products and services. She is passionate about marketing and communications, creative multimedia storytelling, brand building, and how to use digital and social communications to complement and amplify traditional communications. On Monday, Oct. 8 in her presentation at the Networking Luncheon, Stella will share her insights on the changing world of communications and how technology, combined with a purposeful, authentic, multi-media approach, enables us to reach our audiences.

Stella joined Dell through the combination with EMC, where she served as vice president of global communications, and was instrumental in creating and leading the communications strategy for the largest technology merger in IT industry history. In her role, she was responsible for growing what was once a U.S.-centric and public relations-focused organization into a truly global team with a full communications mix, while effectively operationalizing it through a unified planning process and content model that could be scaled globally.

Stella is also responsible for advocating and driving Dell’s thought leadership program that contributed to its strong voice and position in the industry. Today, her responsibilities include Dell’s overall public relations, industry analyst relations, internal communications, customer references and thought leadership as well as executive, sales and partner communications.

With over 25 years of marketing and communications experience, Stella has held many leadership roles where she focused on building global teams, brands and reputations, specifically across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She also managed marketing for companies in the United Kingdom, spent four years running her own business and considers herself an entrepreneur at heart!

Most recently, Stella became the co-chair of the development and communication committee for the Dimock Center. Dimock is a nonprofit health care organization, recognized nationally as a model for the delivery of high-quality, low-cost health care services to Boston urban communities that might otherwise not have health care available to them.

Stella holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of South Bank in London, England. A U.K. native, Stella is now based at Dell’s offices in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
