Lauren PetersLauren Peters is founder and CEO of PetersGroup Public Relations in Austin, Texas. She brings more than 20 years of business-to-business and consumer marketing and public relations experience, including the packaging, launching and branding of products, services, businesses and executives. With deep knowledge of the technology, retail and financial services industry, she has coached business and management teams on competitive positioning, thought leadership and channel marketing. Peters was director of worldwide marketing and communications for a Fujitsu company that provides systems, software and financial services to the top 200 retailers and worldwide. She has served in senior management roles in marketing and public relations agencies, coaching clients on strategic positioning and problem solving for organizations, including IBM Software Group, Motorola, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Austin Technology Council, Dell and Mutual Mobile.

Kate WalkerKate Walker is a partner at McGrath│Power Public Relations, a 30-year old Silicon Valley-based technology communications agency. She has a passion for great stories and has spent her career helping people to find and tell their own compelling stories to audiences ranging from general consumers to technical developers. At M│P, Walker develops and provides hands-on daily management of a diverse client base ranging from telepresence technologies and solid-state drives to software-defined networking and consumer electronics interoperability standards. Her clients have included ADT Residential Security, Cisco, DLNA, EarthLink, McAfee, Mohr Davidow Ventures, RSA Security and the Open Networking Foundation. She also helped countless start-ups reach their acquisition and growth goals. In addition to her work at M│P, Walker has also held international public relations leadership roles at Internet Security Systems (now IBM) and Borland Software Corporation (now Micro Focus), where she is credited with the elevation of their brands in the marketplace and creation of their global public relations infrastructure. She is also actively involved as a mentor for Betaspring; a Providence, R.I.-based technology start-up accelerator program.
